Computer Diagnostics: common questions

Can I keep driving with the check engine light on?

If the light is steady and the car drives normally, get it scanned soon. If it is flashing, or the car is losing power, overheating or in limp mode, stop driving and call us — continuing can damage the catalytic converter or engine.

Why not just clear the codes?

Clearing codes hides the symptom, not the problem. Most faults return, and some get worse. We record and diagnose every code first.
